  1. These are configurations questions that sysops have written to me. If you 
  2. have one, please let me know.

  4. Q : Drakeville won't do the maintenance.
  5.  
  6. A : Make sure that you set up the path for the bulletin file. The before last
  7. line in the DRAKE.CFG should be the filename only of the bulletin and the next
  8. line is the path. Ex.  TOPTEN.ANS
  9.                        C:\BBS\

  11. Q : When I run Drakeville multi-node, it kicks out a player who is on-line.
  12.  
  13. A : Make sure that you created a NODE FILE for EVERY node you want to run 
  14. Drakeville on. Also, make sure that you specify the number of nodes in the
  15. DRAKE.CFG. Also, you can make the DRAKE.OVR and DRAKE.EXE read-only files
  16. with ATTRIB +R DRAKE.OVR and ATTRIB +R DRAKE.EXE.

  18. Q : Drakeville doesn't want to run with WINDOWS NT.

  20. A : You need to remove the IRQ and PORT ADDRESS from the node files. Just 
  21.     delete these lines and save the file.

  23. Q : My callers don't seem to be receiving the ANSI.
  24.  
  25. A : This seems to heppen with Wildcat 4.+ under WIN95. If you use FOSSIL 
  26.     communication instead of INTERNAL it should be ok.

  28. Q : Drakeville plays locally but callers can't log on.
  29.  
  30. A : Make sure that you copy the BBS drop file to the Drakeville dir.

  32.     COPY DOOR.SYS C:\DOORS\DRAKE
  33.     CD\DOORS\DRAKE
  34.     CALL GO_DRAKE 1

  38. Q : I don't get the ANSI screens under WIN95.

  40. A : Well, WIN95, as far as I know, doesn't have a build in ANSI emulator. You
  41.     will need to set up ANSI.SYS.
